A Visit to Kabelvåg
Kabelvag is one of the most popular attractions on the Lofoten islands. The local aquarium is placed under a beautiful setting, and makes full use of the marvellous surroundings. The aquarium is known to display at least 23 types of uncommon fish and seal species that are native to the Arctic Ocean.
The Norwegian Fishing Village Museum
Founded in the year 1987 by the Moskenes History and Museum Society, in collaboration with the Moskenes municipal council and Mr. Sigurd Harald Ellingsen of Å, the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum one of a kind. The museum primarily features the history of the past 200 years of the fishing village and the Lofoten Fishery. The setting is mainly coastal, and the experience is educational as well as entertaining.
Lofoten House Gallery
The Lofoten House Gallery is a local art gallery on the Lofoten islands that showcases masterpieces painted during the era of Norwegian oil paintings. The paintings date back to the 19th century and early 20th century, and recreate the amazing atmosphere of the artistic past of Norway. The gallery, also known as the Galleri Lofotens Hus, allows the visitors to pay a virtual visit to Lofoten's four seasons.
