The Daisy Route (Marguerit Ruten) was established in the 1980s and was officially opened by Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II, and the route is named after her favourite flower, the Marguerite Daisy. Since 2001, The Outdoor Council has owned the route and it collaborates with Visit Denmark, tourist agencies and other central organisations to ensure the maintainance and upgrading of the route. The Daisy Route is a perfect way of exploring the beautiful and breathtaking nature Denmark has to offer, if you want a holiday in a slower pace, bringing you closer to nature in a stress free environment, be that by car, or by bicke as the Great Danes themselves would do it.
