There are several museums one can visit while holidaying in Druskininkai. Planning a trip to these museums is a great way to learn more about the town while you take a break from being pampered at the spas. The Forest Museum is a popular option. The museum is open from Wednesday to Saturday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Built in 1971 the museum has an impressive exhibition of animals and birds. There is a magical touch to the displays, with famous legendary characters and witches “hiding” in the hollow oaks while the forest is alive with the music of the birds. The exhibitions are organized into the following categories: ethno cultural collections, folk artists’ works, jewelry pieces in amber, wood art, black ceramics pieces, photographs. The Town Museum of Druskininkai is also a good place to visit. The museum is open from Monday to Saturday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. the museum can be found in the representational villa Linsma which was constructed in the early 20th century and is an important monument built on the shores of the Lake Druskonis.
