Visitor’s Information For The Complex
The Kadriorg Park And Palace complex is open from Tuesday to Sunday from May to September. Opening times are from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
From October to April the complex is open from Wednesday to Sunday between 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The flower garden is open everyday from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and closing time is extended to 9:00 PM in September and October. The admission price to the palace costs KR 65 and admission to the Mikkel Museum costs KR 35.
The Foreign Art Museum In The Kadriorg Park And Palace
After the palace was renovated, the Foreign Art Museum was opened in July 2000. The museum is a part of the Art Museum of Estonia. Along with housing various pieces of art from throughout the ages, the museum is also home to reception events, theatre events, exhibitions, and lectures.
The museum boasts a collection of more than 900 paintings of Russian and Western European origins dating between the 16th and the 20th century. There are around 1600 pieces of decorative art to be found in the museum, such as glass objects, porcelain ornaments and historic furniture. Approximately 3000 gems and sculptures are displayed in the museum along with 3,500 prints.
The most significant collection in the museum is that of 100 paintings that were done between the 16th and 18th centuries by master artists belonging to the Netherlands' School of Art. German panel paintings with roots in the same time period also have a place in the collection, along with some Russian portrait paintings from the 18th and 19th centuries.
