Fishing in Trakai District
Lithuania is a great place to try out some adventure fishing. With large numbers of trout and other species thriving in the water bodies, everyone is bound to get something! The Trakai District is known for the large number of trout that inhabit its ponds. This is a great venue to go fishing but it is possible only in the summer months i.e. between June and September. During winter, the water bodies are all frozen and you will be better off doing something else entirely.
Vilnius
Vilnius, the capital city of Lithuania is an ideal blend of tradition and cosmopolitan culture. With great architecture lining the streets on one side and exciting party venues on the other side, it offers entertainment to everyone in all respects. The city is a great place to visit during both summer and winter but each season showcases the city in a different light. While there isn’t much snowfall during winter, there is still the charm of the northern winter but during summer, everyone is out in shorts and relaxing. This is an idyllic way to spend the summer break. As far as specifics go, most tourist attractions are open all through the year but are subject to weather conditions.
Coastal Visit
Lithuania features one of the best coastlines in the world that has both sand dunes and forests in tandem. The forests are inhabited by a variety of animals like elk and deer. Being the coastline, the temperature is well controlled and moderated by the sea but winter temperatures are known to fall. For those of you planning a vacation to the seaside, the 60 mile long Lithuanian peninsula will be the ideal place. Visiting anytime of the year is fine but be prepared for cold nights on the beach during the winter months.
There are several things to do during every month of the year in Lithuania. Each season is unique in its own way but you should visit when you are most comfortable.
