Pavlovsk Palace is a Russian Imperial residence built in the 18th century in Pavlovsk within St. Petersburg. The residence was built for Grand Duke Paul by his mother Catherine the Great. Grand Duke Paul's wife Maria Feodorovna continued to live at the residence after his death. She is also known as Queen Dagmar of Denmark. In 2006 her burial site was moved from Roskilde Cathedral in Denmark back to St. Petersburg to be placed next to her husband.
Large English Garden around the residence fascinates visitors. The premises are now open as a public park and Russian State Museum.
Again, true Russian style, nothing is spared on the interior and the same goes for this impressive building. Which also has rooms dedicated to foreign countries, like the Greek Hall of Pavlovsk Palace and the Italian Hall of Pavlovsk Palace. A very stately and impressive building work.
