Sopot

An Introduction to Sopot

Sopot is a town found on the southern coast of the Baltic Sea. Located in the northern region of Poland, this seaside town is recognized with a county status and is located between the big cities of Gdynia on the north and Gdansk on the south. In recent years, Sopot has developed as a premier tourist destination and a very popular health-spa location. The town is known to have the longest wooden pier in the entire European continent and is also known at the international level for the famous Sopot International Song Festival, which is the second biggest event of its kind in the continent. Another reason why Sopot is very famous is because of the presence of a bromide spring water fountain, often referred to as the “inhalation mushroom”.
