Croatia Anniversary
If you’d like to celebrate your anniversary by the sea, a beach holiday in Croatia is the perfect getaway! With more than 6,000 kilometres of coastline and over 1000 islands you’ll find plenty to explore.
Or you can simply sit back and enjoy the superb views.
You won’t be the first – there were people here 100,000 years ago, so there are numerous remains from the Neanderthal, Palaeolithic and Neolithic periods.
You’ll find wonderful cities to explore, too. The capital Zagreb has impressive Austro-Hungarian architecture. The central Upper Town is the site of the Gothic, twin-spired Zagreb Cathedral and the13th-century St. Mark’s Church. You can relax in Tkalciceva Street, lined with outdoor cafes. And in the Lower Town you’ll find the main square Ban Jelacic, shops, museums and parks.
Fronting the Adriatic Sea, Dubrovnik is known for its distinctive 16th century Old Town.
