Denmark in Spring
Copenhagen almost sounds like spring and the season of flowers and lovers is an ideal time to visit this charming city and one of the happiest countries in the world.
Nearly 6 million people occupy this Scandinavian country, one third the size of England, so it's easy to get round. The people are truly friendly and mostly English speaking. Copenhagen is a wonderful little capital city, with just 550,000 people sitting on the twin islands of Zealand and Amager. The Little Maiden in the harbour; the Tivoli Gardens; the Royal Palaces at Amalienborg, Christiansborg and Rosenborg ; great bars and restaurants; beautiful gardens: this is the archetypal walking or cycling city. You can even ride your bike from the airport.
Or if you want to venture outside the capital, Odense is Hans Christian Andersen's birthplace and will charn you with its cobbled streets, while Aarhus has an open air museum with centuries old timbered houses and great Botanical Gardens. There is even an underground Viking Museum.
April and May are perfect months to wrap up warm - this is still a Northern land - and enjoy Denmark while the tourists are scarce and the Danes are enjoying the first signs of spring.
We know Denmark and we will take you there.
