Greenland anniversary

  Greenland anniversary

Greenland is a unique place on earth that will amaze you. The largest island in the world, it's the perfect setting for that special occasion with your partner, close family or friends to celebrate a birthday or wedding anniversary. And it suits all ages and of all kinds.

The capital Nuuk is set against the imposing backdrop of Sermitsiaq mountain. There's a fascinating National Museum and the Nuuk Art Museum will engross you with its local works. At the Katuaq cultural centre you can enjoy films and concerts. Venture out and you'll find a stunning fjord system famous for waterfalls, humpback whales and icebergs.

As well as taking in the 24 hour Midnight Sun, in Greenland you can experience some, if not all of what's called the Big Arctic 5. Dog sledding, Northern Lights, Ice & Snow, Whales and Pioneering People.

In the winter, you can mark your special celebration with a dogsledding adventure through stunning valleys.

At Disco Bay, you'll find a completely unspoilt area of nature with warm summer temperatures. So it's the ideal place for a hike.

At Narsaq, the "Green paradise of Greenland" you can see seals, salmon, arctic char and small whales. And nearby Uunartoq is known for its hot springs and waterfalls. In Kangerlussuaq, you'll find the world's longest fjord, sled dogs and breathtaking mountains.

Ilulissat, a World Heritage site, is one of the most popular tourist attractions. It's where the most productive glacier in the Northern Hemisphere is, with a huge number of icebergs passing out of the fjord.

And in Southern Greenland, you can explore Viking ruins, tiny settlements and quaint Greenlandic towns.

Wherever you go in summer or winter, spring or autumn, this place has something special. It's a magical world that will give your dream holiday in Greenland memories to last you a lifetime.
