Cycling in Norway can vary from Iron Man challenges like the Arctic Race to gentle paths along the beautiful fjords of this fascinating country.
There are bike parks in Hafjelll, Trysil and Geilo; shops for bike rental; bike friendly hotels; everything the keen or just relaxed cyclist would want.
Try the famous Rallarvegen, called Norway's best cycling route. This ride takes you through steep declines and wild waterfalls. Built for the Oslo-Bergen railway line over 100 years ago, the track was opened for cyclists in 1974 and gives you regular views of the Bergen railway line constructed at the end of the 19th Century over the mountains of Central Norway. Rallar was the name for the original work force, which at one time numbered 2,400 people; you will see the imposing houses of the Line Inspectors scattered along this route.
Try the gentle paths along the Telemark Canal with a range of routes from nice and easy to hard and fast. Bring the children: these rides are as easy as you wish, from 6 km to over 100 km. Camp along the way or treat yourself at the architecturally amazing Dalen Hotel, serving the royalty of Europe since 1894. You might even encounter Miss Greenfield's ghost!
We know Norway and we can take you there.
