Tour Itinerary:
Day 1, Friday, Arrival Belgrade (Serbia)
Upon arrival in Belgrade, your driver will take you to your hotel, passing through New Belgrade’s mix of Socialist architecture and modern business hubs. After check-in, relax before heading out to explore Skadarlija, the city's bohemian quarter, with its charming cobbled streets, traditional kafanas, local dishes, and live music.
Day 2, Saturday: Belgrade (Serbia)
Start with a city tour of Belgrade, beginning at Knez Mihailova Street, a busy area with shops, cafes, and historic buildings. The city is known for its mix of old and new architecture, its history, and its location at one of Europe’s biggest river meeting points.
Morning like a Serb: Visit Belgrade’s oldest tavern, to try traditional Serbian coffee and rakija. Your guide will tell you about local customs and how “šljivovica,” Serbia’s plum brandy, is made.
Next, visit Belgrade Fortress and Kalemegdan Park for beautiful views of the Sava and Danube rivers, where history and modern life meet.
Cross Branko’s Bridge into New Belgrade for a panoramic tour of the city’s Brutalist buildings, the Belgrade Waterfront, and the Temple of Saint Sava, one of the largest Orthodox churches in the world.
Finish the day at Republic Square, then take a Sundown Cruise along the Sava and Danube rivers to enjoy views of Belgrade’s skyline, bridges, and historic landmarks from the water.
Day 3, Sunday: to Zlatibor (Serbia)
After check-out, head south to Oplenac, a historic site where royals are buried. Visit the royal mausoleum and a winery reflecting Serbia’s royal heritage.
Explore the Šumadija region, known as the "Serbian Tuscany," at a century-old winery. Taste three wines made with traditional methods and learn about the Karadordevic dynasty’s impact on Serbia’s history and winemaking.
Next, we drive to Zlatibor Mountain, Serbia’s first royal resort, and check into your hotel. Enjoy a relaxing walk through the charming town and savour a traditional Serbian dinner.
Indulge in Serbian cuisine at a local kafana, starting with ajvar, kajmak, and cured meats. Enjoy hearty pies or cornbread, then feast on veal or fish, all prepared to highlight the region’s flavors.
Day 4, Monday: to Sarajevo (Bosnia & Herzegovina)
After check-out, visit Drvengrad, the ethno village built by Emir Kusturica, featuring wooden buildings, galleries, and the Mecavnik Hotel. It hosts the Küstendorf Film and Music Festival.
Ride the retro "Nostalgia" train along the Šargan Eight railway, offering scenic views and a historic journey through tunnels and viaducts.
Next, we drive to Višegrad, Bosnia and Herzegovina, to explore Andricgrad, a cultural center by the UNESCO-protected Drina River Bridge, inspired by Nobel laureate Ivo Andric.
After lunch, continue to Sarajevo for hotel check-in.
Day 5, Tuesday: Sarajevo (Bosnia & Herzegovina)
Begin your Sarajevo tour at Vjecna Vatra (Eternal Flame), a memorial to WWII liberators, and explore the city’s cultural and historical gems while enjoying its culinary delights.
Start with a local burek, then stroll through Ferhadiya, visiting the Sacred Heart Cathedral and a 16th-century Orthodox Church. Discover Sarajevo’s cultural blend of Orthodox, Catholic, and Islamic influences. In Bašcaršija, taste cevapi and experience the city’s coffee culture. Visit the Vjecnica, Latin Bridge, Bezistan market, Gazi Husrev-beg mosque, and Sahat Tower, wrapping up the tour with a sweet taste of baklava.
In the afternoon, explore Sarajevo at your leisure, revisiting favorite sights or relaxing in a cozy cafe.
Day 6, Wednesday: To Trebinje (Bosnia & Herzegovina)
After checking out of Sarajevo, drive to Mostar and visit the iconic Old Bridge, Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque, the Crooked Bridge, and the Tabhana quarter.
Visit a local workshop to explore the traditional art of copper crafting and create your own jewelry.
Enjoy lunch by the Neretva River with a view of the Old Bridge.
Next, visit Blagaj’s 15th-century monastery, set under cliffs by the Buna River.
End the day in Trebinje, exploring the Arslanagica Bridge and Poet’s Square before hotel check-in.
Day 7, Thursday: to Kotor (Montenegro)
After checking out of the hotel, head to Trebinje’s local market, where you’ll experience the essence of local life with fresh cheese, dried meats, sun-ripened fruits, and homemade juices.
Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the market, where small local producers offer traditional goods made using time-honoured methods.
Continue to Montenegro, stopping at the baroque town of Perast on Boka Bay.
Take a boat trip to the manmade island of Our Lady of the Rocks, where you can explore its church and learn about its rich history and legends.
Next, visit Kotor, a UNESCO site, and enjoy a walking tour of its medieval churches and charming streets. Enjoy free time for lunch or further exploration.
End the day in Dubrovnik, checking in to your hotel in this UNESCO-listed walled city.
Day 8, Friday: Dubrovnik (Croatia)
Explore Dubrovnik, the "Pearl of the Adriatic," visiting iconic sights like Stradun, Pile Gate, and the Rector’s Palace. Walk the City Walls and uncover the city’s rich history, including its Game of Thrones connections.
After the tour, enjoy free time for lunch with a view or take a cable car to Srd Hill. In the evening, relax on a sunset cruise aboard a traditional 16th-century galleon, the Karaka, for stunning views of the Old Town.
Day 9, Saturday: Dubrovnik (Croatia)
Farewell Dubrovnik, check-out and transfer to the airport.
