Transylvania, a region in central Romania, is famed for its picturesque landscapes, medieval castles such as Bran Castle, and the cultural legacy associated with the Dracula legend, set against a backdrop of the Carpathian Mountains.

Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Bucharest, transfer to Brasov
Morning departure to Bucharest. The english-speaking guide/driver will meet you and the airport.
Our first target will be Sinaia. Visit the Peles Castle, constructed in 1873 as a summer residence of the Romanian royal family. You can see a rich collection of old furniture, carpets, weapons and armours. From here, we will make our way to Bran where we will discover the castle of Dracula and the truth behind the legend. The castle was built in 1377 to safeguard the trading route between Transylvania and Wallachia, enlarged and restored a few times to become a royal residence in the 1920s under Queen Marie of Romania.
Arrival in Brasov, a medieval city, founded in XII c. Sightseeing tour of the historical city center with the old city-hall, and the Black Church - the main Gothic style monument in the country.

Day 2: Brasov - Sighisoara - Biertan - Sibiu
After breakfast, we will make our way to Sighisoara - one of the most beautiful medieval towns in Romania – a UNESCO city. Enjoy a city tour of Sighisoara with the Citadel - a Saxon edifice from XII c. – a UNESCO monument. Sightseeing includes the Clock Tower, the Covered Staircase, Dracula's birth house, the Church on the Hill. Biertan is one of the most important Saxon villages with fortified churches in Transylvania, having been on the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites since 1993. We the continue the day with a visit of the Biertan fortified church.
Arrival in Sibiu and accommodation in a 4-star hotel incl. Breakfast.
Day 3: Sibiu - Cozia - Bucharest
Breakfast at the hotel. We will start the day with a city tour of Sibiu (the European Cultural Capital 2007 and European Region of Gastronomy in 2019) and discover the secrets of this magnificent medieval city. We will visit the main cultural sites such as The Evangelical Church, the Liar’s Bridge, The Small Square and the Big Square. Departure through the Carpathian Mountains via the Oltului Valley – the most spectacular river valley in Romania. On the road we will visit Monastery Cozia, the oldest monastery in North Vallahia. Once we arrive in Bucharest, we will have a walking city tour of the historical centre.
Farewell dinner at a local restaurant in the capital.

Day 4: Poiana Brasov – Bucharest
Breakfast at the hotel. If time permits, explore some more of Bucharest before your transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
