Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Sofia / Arrival

Upon arrival in Sofia, you’ll be greeted by a local guide and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, opportunity to explore the city center and enjoy traditional Bulgarian cuisine at local restaurants.

Day 2: Sofia – Rila Monastery – Sofia

On day two, visit the magnificent Rila Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage site, to admire its stunning architecture and history. In the afternoon, enjoy a walking tour of Sofia, visit Alexander Nevski Cathedral, and explore the charming Old Town before choosing from the city's many dining options for dinner.

Day 3: Sofia - Plovdiv

After breakfast, transfer to Plovdiv, one of Europe's oldest cities, for a walking tour of the Old Town, exploring architectural marvels and the Ancient Roman Theatre. In the afternoon, you can visit the Folk Art Museum, enjoy a leisurely lunch, and experience Bulgarian wine at a local winery.

Day 4: Plovdiv – Veliko Tarnovo

Enjoy a scenic drive to the Kazanluk Valley, famous for its rose production, and visit a traditional rose oil distillery to learn about the process and sample local products. We will then continue to the replica Thracian Tomb in Kazanluk, and we will visit the Etar Open Air Museum in Gabrovo to explore Bulgarian folklore before checking into your hotel for free time and dinner.

Day 5: Veliko Tarnovo - Bucharest

Explore the historic city of Veliko Tarnovo with a walking tour and a visit to Tsarevets Fortress, then we will stop in the village of Arbanassi to admire its traditional houses.

We then say farewell to Bulgaria before crossing the border into Romania, transfer to Bucharest for hotel check-in, and spend the evening exploring the Old Town and dine at a local restaurant.

Day 6: Bucharest/ Departure

Begin with a guided tour of the Parliament Palace, one of the world's largest buildings, and admire its grandeur. Afterward, explore Bucharest's Old Town on a walking tour before enjoying some free time for lunch, then transfer to the airport.
