Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Bodø

Arrival in Bodø. Bodø is the largest town in the county of Nordland, with just a bit over 50,000 inhabitants. The town surrounded by Børvasstindan mountain range offers many different kinds of activities as well as an opportunity for relaxation. Located on a peninsula in Northern Norway, Bodø has great opportunities for fishing. Bodø also offers a great varity in arts and crafts as well as adventurous activities.

Accommodation in a centrally located 3 or 4 star hotel.

Day 2: Bodo - Nordskot (ferry)

Breakfast at the hotel. Before continuing your trip to the beautiful Manshausen Island, you have the afternoon to explore Bodø. Afternoon departure by ferry to Nordskot. From Nordskot you will be picked up by boat and taken to Manshausen Island.

Manshausen Island is beautifully unique destination for a getaway. This 28 hectares island is located in the Steigen archipelago, surrounded by mountains and other small islands - perfect day trip destinations for trekking! The resort is an ideal mixture of adventure and relaxation as well as architecture. The cabins offer an extraordinary scenery from their large glass windows. There is no better place for Aurora watching than these cabins! 

Day 3 - 4: Leisure time at Manshausen

Breakfast at the resort. Today you can explore the area on your own or join the various activities that are available. Trek around the nearby areas and islands or perhaps the mountains. You can also spend your days sea kayaking, cycling or climbing. Also fishing is possible all year around. 

Day 5: Departure from Manshausen

Breakfast at the resort. Morning departure by ferry back to Bodø. Return flight back to the UK.

  • Return flights from London to Bodo via Oslo (Other UK airports upon request)
  • 1 piece of check-in luggage per traveler (up to 23 kg)
  • 1 night's accommodation in a 3-4 star hotel in Bodo incl. breakfast 
  • 3 nights' accommodation in a Seacabin in Manshausen incl. full board (breakfast, lunch and 3-course dinner)

Hi Daina,

Thank you so much! We absolutely had the best time, we thoroughly enjoyed it!

Yes, we got a fantastic show of the lights during our overnight Hurtigruten cruise, it was phenomenal! We also saw them again in Tromso so we felt extremely lucky!

Oli's favourite part was definitely the stay at Manshausen, it was so relaxing and such an amazing place to spend some time together and we were very well looked after.

My favourite besides Manshausen I would say was the husky sledding, it was fantastic and such an experience for us and so lovely to meet all the friendly dogs!

I've attached some photos to a separate email as it was too big of a file to send with this email!

We both just also want to say a HUGE thank you to you Daina, you have been fantastic throughout this experience making our honeymoon so special and attending to every single detail, especially with the ferry cancellation and sorting that so quickly. Your organisation and planning meant that we could enjoy our honeymoon to the full degree with no stress whatsoever. We also appreciated that if you were ever not available one of your colleagues picked up anything we needed to ask which was also very helpful.

Thank you so much again, we really had a honeymoon we will never forget :)
