Voted the happiest country in the world in 2017, Norway embraces spring with an enthusiasm that can easily be shared by all visitors.
Whether it is city or country, Norway in spring has many opportunities for the discerning traveller. Officially the Kingdom of Norway, this country of just over five million people covers an area two and a half times as large as England and once was substantially larger with dominion over Iceland, Greenland, the Faroe Isles and - until 1266 - the Isle of Man.
Enjoy its vibrant captial, Oslo, on its own or as part of a Scandinavian capitals tour. This city of just 670,000 people sits at the head of its own fjord and is famous for its green spaces and museums, includng a Viking Museum with three fully reconstructed Viking ships. The Royal Palace and the Akershus Fortress are just two of this city's many attractions that provide plenty for the traveller to explore.
if the country is your preferred destination, then spring can be a capricious season, dependent on how far you travel up the coast or interior of this long country. In the south, spring flowers may arrive as early as February, but as you venture north you will need your layers of clothes and be prepared for snow still on the mountains and perhaps underfoot.
We know Norway and we wiil take you there.
