Ukraine is rich in natural beauty and history. The country has a population of nearly 50 million and is somewhat larger than France. It is easy to get to Ukraine, as most airlines fly into Kiev, which is located in the centre of the country. From Kiev, you can travel by train or plane to explore this diverse country.
Though currently we are deprived of the pleasure of offering our clients travel to the Crimea with its rich history and soaring mountains, Ukraine holidays have a lot to offer.
The Carpathian Mountains are located in the Western part of Ukraine. Their highest peaks in the Ukraine reach over 2,000 metres. Although Ukraine is not known for skiing, there are plenty of ski areas and the industry is growing. With our Ukraine holidays, there are also plenty of hiking and trekking opportunities in the summer.

Where to go in Ukraine
The typical cities of interest are Kiev, with its many museums, religious sites and varied architecture, and Odessa, known as the pearl of the Black Sea. Odessa was established as a city by Katherine the Great and, among other famous sights, boasts the Potemkin Steps, as featured in the iconic film, as well a mix of architectural styles: Art Nouveau; Renaissance and Classicist.
Kiev has existed as a city since the 9th Century and enjoyed its heyday as a commercial centre, until it was completely destroyed by the Mongols in 1240.
Marginalised as a provincial capital, Kiev again sprung into importance during the 20th Century development of the Soviet Empire, being initially a base for White Russians before being subsumed by the Red Russians in 1921. Go there for a rush of modern life mixed with ancient buildings, such as the 11th Century Cathedral of St. Sophia and the equally old Monastery of the Caves.
Or for a trip off the beaten track, why not a Ukraine holiday to Lviv mixed with Poland? Lviv missed most of the depredations of wars over the centuries and presents a fascinating range of architecture in monuments, churches and historic buildings. Less than 50 miles from the Polish border, Lviv makes for the ideal diversion.
Take a look at one of our suggested Ukraine holidays and itineraries that incorporates Kiev as well as the Russian cities of St. Petersburg and Moscow, or contact one of our specialists about a tailor made tour to Ukraine.

Dear Veronika
Our trip to Kiev, Moscow and St Petersburg was wonderful. All the arrangements you made for us were spot on and greatly contributed to the enjoyment of our visit to these fascinating cities. Each guide supplied extensive knowledge of their particular city which also added to the whole experience. Growing up in the Cold War period never did we imagine that one day we would be able to see these cities. We are just glad that circumstances have so changed that we have been able to see them for ourselves.
Thank you again.
Kind regards,
Yours sincerely
Pamela and Bill
