Staying at Kokkedal Castle, you will experience a weekend of exclusive luxury. This former countryside manor catered to the very elite of the Danish aristocracy throughout the second half of the 18th century and all throughout the 19th century. Kokkedal Castle was built in 1746 by owner Count Christian August Von Berckentin and designed by architect Johan Gottfried Rosenberg in the Dutch Renaissance style. Rosenberg also designed the Rococo residence manor in Copenhagen for Count Von Berckentin, which today is known as the Odd Fellow Mansion.
The extensive refurbishment in 2011, has seen the castle revive its aristocratic feel with a contemporary interpretation. The new owner, Mikael Goldschmidt, has truly brought back the life and soul of Kokkedal Castle without losing the heritage and rich history of this majestic manor. The Castle Cellar Restaurant offers cuisine with an emphasis on seasonal simplicity and authentic craftsmanship. Kokkedal Castle will give you an all-exclusive and unique experience and stands as a true pioneer of the field of hospitality in Scandinavia with a historically and culturally rich backdrop.
Day 1: Welcome to Royal North Sealand
Transfer by train from Copenhagen Airport to Kokkedal Castle. Check-in at the castle for your 2 nights' accommodation in a superior double room. In the evening you attend the Christmas Dinner. Starting the evening you will enjoy a glass of Champagne followed by a traditional Christmas dinner buffet with drinks ad libitum. After dinner, coffe avec will be served at the table and the bar will open. In the evening the in-house Kokkedal Castle Orchestra will make sure to keep you entertained and the dancefloor filled will their interpretations of dance music.
Day 2: Exploring Copenhagen & the Royal North Sealand
Breakfast at the castle. The day at your own leisure to explore more of the Royal North Zealand with its many castles, museums and galleries. Take a stroll along the seaside by Kokkedal Castle or venture to Copenhagen and purchase the last Christmas presents, enjoy the Tivoli Garden and the many Christmas Markets in the city.
Day 3: Farewell Denmark
Breakfst at the castle. Enjoy the morning before check-out and transfer to Copenhagen Airport in time for your return flight.
