Finland is a large, sparsely populated country that features barren Arctic landscapes in the North, thousands of tiny islands in the South, vast, unspoiled forests, crystal clear lakes in between – there are roughly 187,000 of them – and one of Europe's most fashionable capitals in Helsinki, Finland holidays are both breathtaking and precious.

What to do in Finland

During your holiday in Finland, you may stay in a Glass Igloo or Aurora Bubble, under the Night Sky and you will be able to see the Northern Lights from your own personal igloo with all modern comforts.

Or try the world famous Ice Hotel: Finland has it all. Finland's Northern Lights, surrounded by vast forests of trees, truly capture the wonder of the Far North. The combination of snow around you, the Finland Northern Lights, the atmosphere of Finland Christmas holidays or New Year holidays in Finland guarantee an outstanding experience.

Finland is one of the most underrated holiday destinations in Europe, but that is precisely what makes it an attractive destination for backpacking and hiking experiences, since you will be bathing in its spectacular nature while avoiding the crowds. Privet!

It was a good trip for me. The arrangements you made for me were spot on. No issues whatsoever. All of the tour guides were exceptional except for one. He is young and I am sure will get much better as time goes by. Very nice person. Just not much provided on information compared to the others. Hotels were good.  I didn’t go to the optional dinner in Tallinn, but the people who went were very disappointed in it. Meal was not so good and they thought there would be some type of entertainment which did not happen. Spanish speaking people were very disappointed in their Moscow guide.
I am very satisfied with the job you did. Don’t suppose you have something for me next year with Poland, Belarus, and Ukraine?

Hi Laura,

We had a wonderful trip. We enjoyed each of the places we visited. And all of the arrangements worked out brilliantly.

We enjoyed the food everywhere we went in Finland: we particularly note the Lapland Hotel breakfasts, where the food origin was identified.

We will send you some photos when we have been through the many that our son took. We have attached one above, which includes our son.

Highlights: Each of the cities had interesting things to see, and their own characters. In each we crammed in as much as time allowed. Our highlights (in no particular order) were:

• (of course) Helsinki: Sibelius monument; Suomenlinna Island – just wandering about.

• Turku: all along the river to Turku Castle; Luostarinmaen Museum of original 19th Century buildings.

• Oulu: the Beach and the Parks.

• Kuopio: views from the Puijo Tower.

• Rovaniemi: we had to visit Santa Claus’ Village (on behalf of our grandchildren of course); the scenery here, around the Arctic Circle.

All in all, the three of us came home wanting to return to Finland, to explore more of this beautiful country.

Best regards

Steve, Liz and Simon

Hi Nicola,

Some feedback on the Baltic trip which we enjoyed overall- very informative, good pace and time allotted for own exploration. Janus was a good tour leader, well organised. Two disappointments were the Latvian dinner which was in a room that was so noisy with another party it was not possible to have a conversation with anyone at the table. The food was average with the pavlova dessert terrible, base was soo hard most left it on the plate.

That aside the trip achieved what we wanted, accommodation was fine and transfers all went well.

Finland - we loved , everything went well, accommodation great - especially in Savonlinna, boat trip great, car hire great and train travel excellent. We did get a guide in Helsinki and Provoo for the day which although expensive gave great insight into the country and it's history.

Thank you once again for your help

Regards

Russell and Denise

Hi Laura,

Many apologies for not replying earlier. It has been a manic time since our return.

We had a wonderful time in Finland and really big thanks for organising the extra-special anniversary gifts, they were very much appreciated.

The holiday went without a hitch - again! So thanks for the organisation. The hotel was nice, food decent and plentiful and the welcome was warm. The activities were all well organised and the guides were all good.

Regards, Emma & Julian
