In December Helsinki is filled with festive ambience as streets and shop windows are lit up with Christmas lights. The main street of Helsinki, Aleksanterinkatu, is called Joulukatu - 'Christmas Street' once again as Santa Claus opens the street and its lights and Christmas Market in the end of November. The Christmas Market in Helsinki is a truly unique experience for children as well as grown-ups.
