Spitsbergen truly is a unique and exotic destination, and with its location at 78 degrees north, maybe the closest to the North Pole you will ever get! On arrival at Longyear airport, the public airport coach will take you to Basecamp Trapper’s Hotel, Svalbard’s most unique hotel. In the afternoon, transfer to Bolterdalen where you will meet 80 excited Alaskan Huskies. The guide teaches how to harness the dogs and after assembling your own team, head off for summer-sledding on wheels for some hours. On the way, enjoy the fantastic Isfjord stretching for more than 100km and Spitsbergen’s amazing animal wildlife. After arrival at the unique and remote Isfjord Radio, a former radio station, you are served a 2-course warm lunch. You will spend the afternoon exploring the vicinity and will learn a lot about the wildlife. In the evening, a 3-course dinner is served at the station.
