Custom Dream Holidays in Poland

There is so much to see and do in Poland, and our tour packages are designed to ensure every moment you spend helps you savour all of Poland's charm. Our holidays can be scheduled to suit, from December trips to enjoy the festive Christmas markets to summer breaks to relax in the natural vistas of the Masurian Lake District.

Some of the top destinations in Poland are outside the romantic cities, including meandering boat tours down the vast Vistula River, which winds through the Polish capital and Gdansk all the way to Southern Poland.

Active types can delve underground at the Wieliczka Salt Mine, climb to the highest towers of the many gothic castles and cathedrals, or engage in water sports and beachside activities in the summer months, visiting the Baltic coast at Sopot.

Must-See Cultural Sites and Historical Holidays in Poland

History lovers are spoiled for choice in Poland, with numerous historic buildings, along with the solemnity and gravitas of the Auschwitz Birkenau museum, with the Auschwitz Birkenau Memorial a place of remembrance, pilgrimage and prayer for thousands of visitors from around the world.

We recommend destinations such as Wawel Castle, an iconic cathedral in Krakow that dates back to the 14th century and Castle Square in Warsaw, located directly in front of the Royal Castle and once the home of monarchs and royalty in days gone by.

Families and travellers interested in Poland's past should also visit Wroclaw, where they can see the Cathedral of St John the Baptist, alongside a leisurely trip to Wroclaw Zoo and the busy, welcoming Rynek area brimming with cafes, small boutiques, bars and restaurants ideal for outdoor breakfast dining on a sunny summer's day or savouring the local sour cream dishes for a filling lunch.

Romantic Polish Holidays and Experiences

If your idea of a perfect trip is to absorb the architecture, luxury and opulence of Central Europe, Poland is a fantastic choice. Our packages include beautiful hotel accommodations, private tours of the most popular destinations in the centre of the cities, and the opportunity to explore and adventure into the cobbled streets and old town settings at your own pace.

We suggest you confirm bookings for the peak summer season and winter trips to see the Christmas markets in advance where possible, given the popularity of these packages, and can organise convenient flights from all the major UK airports, including London, often flying to Warsaw Chopin Airport.

Couples can enjoy lively nights in high-paced Polish bars and clubs, relax in the quiet peace of Lazienki Park, or join revellers in the main square in every major city to celebrate New Year’s Eve and other special occasions, dancing the night away to local music, bands and fireworks.

Why Choose Poland for your Central European Holiday?

Poland is a truly special country and the 17th largest in the world, with snow-filled winters and warm, balmy summers, offering remarkable natural landscapes during every season, from awe-inspiring mountain ranges to tree-lined old town streets.

The culture and history intertwined with this nation are impossible to overstate, with no less than 15 sites awarded UNESCO World Heritage Status with museums, palaces, cathedrals and churches from every element of Europe’s long and complex past.

However, what makes Poland stand out as a destination is the contrast between the incredible gothic architecture and the wide, open spaces, with quiet, cool forests, a pristine coastal seaside region and deep, clear lakes.

Polish Cuisine and Fine Dining Holiday Experiences

While British and American travellers may be unfamiliar with Polish cuisine, it features some of the most delicious recipes on the continent, including local dishes that have inspired modern favourite treats! Venture to a Polish café and try poppyseed cake served during December, borscht, jam doughnuts, glazed cheesecake and rich bigos – a hunter's stew.

While Poland may be a quiet, peaceful and friendly country, it is also a place of celebration. It has a vibrant, energising social scene with modern bars nestled next to craft shops, traditional cafes and charming family-run restaurants.

Hello Nikola,

Thank you for asking after our trip to Gdansk. Had a great time, - lovely place & people, sunny all 3 days too.

Everything you arranged for us was perfect - bookings /flights were smooth & airport pickups by Simon of Mr Shuttle friendly & on time.

Hotel was excellent - it was only 2 minutes over road to old town sites. Breakfasts were superb.

Visited all old town sites easily & walked along river. Museum of WW2 was worth the visit - one of the best.

Liked all the waterfront restaurants & bars - had some good Polish beers & perogies, got some amber gifts to bring back too.

Trip to Sopot was another highlight - the beach & pier, the tall town & Monte Cassino street - loved it all.

If you know the guide, let her know how much we enjoyed spending time with her - she was lovely & very informative - some great stories about Wojtek (see photo of 3 of us on Sopot pier).

I should just like to thank you for all the arrangements you made for us - you did a great job for us & are to be commended. No doubt we will be in touch for future trips.

Best regards & many thanks again for a great break,

Mike & Tito

Hi Nikola,

Thank you for a very nice short-break in Krakow. I'm safely back home now. The airports, checking-in etc went very smoothly for the times and the hotel Ester was excellent and in a good location. ( I never knew Helena Rubinstein grew up at an address two doors away!) Easy to get lost in the surrounding courtyards and alleys, mind. Food was good and prices are not bad including taxi fares which are cheap by UK standards.

For the next ten days Krakow is forecast to enjoy a blue, cloudless sky at about 12 deg. I'm missing the place already.

Thank you for all your help.

Paul

Hi Laura

Just writing to say thank you for organising my recent trip. It was AMAZING! I really enjoyed Krakow/Zakopane/Lodz and even Tomascow Mazowiecki. It wasn’t what I was expecting!

Everything went really smoothly and without a hitch. The hotels were really good as well.

I will DEFINITELY be going back to Poland to find some relatives, who I think now live in Warsaw with possibly more time around Lodz/Tomascow Mazowiecki to really immerse myself in the area. When I’ve identified some dates for travel I’ll either go back to your website or possibly direct to you in order to organise something.

Again, HUGE thanks to you and all at Baltic Holidays for your help.

Kind regards

Nina

The trip was fantastic. By virtue of a tour guide from Poland office (Marta at Forum?) and another from the local area (two guides in total), we benefited from the culture and grand history of the Polish country. Hotels were well planned and great quality. Itinerary and schedule well planned and executed without change.

The tours were long and walking a challenge for two of our seniors, but Poland office guide (Marta) adapted by adjusting the walking and added more rest stops. Marta, in particular, was patient and considerate and attentive of our group needs.

I would rate the Baltic Travel planning and execution of Poland tour five star. Thank you. Mike

Hi Laura, we had the best time! First morning on board - sorry, can't land, there's a polar bear out there. Distant, but within range of my camera. Same afternoon - there's a mother out there, with two cubs chilling out in the snow. The mother was eating a walrus. We also got a good view of an arctic fox, and the biggest pod of walruses they had ever seen - 200, or thereabouts. We had great weather. Although the cabins were very cramped, everything else was fantastic- the food, the guides, the other passengers (only 50 of them!) We had a marvellous holiday, but very busy at the moment catching up with everything, and will post reviews in a few days time. I attach some photos - terrific trip. Thanks, Elizabeth
