Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Reykjavík

Day 2: Reykjavík Walking Tour

Breakfast at the hotel. Start the day with a 2-hour walk with a Viking Tour in Reykjavik! This tour is designed to help you get your bearings in our capital city and make the most of your stay in Iceland. You will visit all the highlights of the Reykjavik city centre and guide will also share some hidden spots with you, like a visit to a genuine Elf home and other local gems – things easily missed if you didn’t know where to look. This personal small-group and family-friendly tour brings the history of Iceland to life with exciting stories and Icelandic folklore.  Overnight in Reykjavik.

Day 3: Golden Circle & Secret Lagoon

Breakfast at the hotel. After we pick you up at your accommodation in Reykjavík, we start on the Golden Circle part of the tour. Our first stop is the famous Þingvellir National park. Here the Icelandic history and great geological wonders come together in making the place one of the most interesting to see in Iceland. Þingvellir has been on a UNESCO world heritage site since 2004. Next stop is the renown Geysir hot spring area. Here you have an opportunity to walk among the bubbling hot springs, but make sure to stay within the restricted area for your own safety. Make sure not to miss the spouting Strokkur before you leave. Gullfoss, the golden waterfall is the last site on the Golden Circle. This great waterfall attracts thousands of visitors every year and for a good reason – according to the World of Waterfalls, it is one of the top ten best waterfalls in the world. Now it is time to soak in a natural hot pool. The locals call this the “Secret lagoon” because it was known only to them for a long time. Now you have a chance to bathe in this outstanding pool in magical surroundings. After a nice hot bath, we head back to Reykjavik over the Hellisheiði pass. You can expect to be at your accommodation place at 7 PM. Overnight in Reykjavik

Hi Inga

Just wanted to say a big thank you for your help in booking the holiday to Iceland. We had an amazing time! The hotel was brilliant- perfect location and excellent breakfast. The tour with Gateway to Iceland was the highlight of the trip. Really good company and it was great to be part of a small group.

All the arrangements were great- you made it very easy and we hope to return again in the future to see more!

unfortunatley, we didn't get to see the northern lights as the weather was bad. Does that get refunded automatically?

thanks again

Hi Iveta,

It was an amazing holiday to Iceland and we had a fabulous time, thank you.

The northern lights tour was cancelled on New Year's Eve as it was too cloudy - it didn't matter as we got to see the fireworks instead.

Kind regards,
Marie
