Geirangerfjord is 15 kilometres long and more than 600 metres deep. The Geirangerfjord is part of the UNESCO World Heritage site 'The West Norwegian Fjords'. This World Heritage site includes two separate areas: The Geirangerfjord area and the Nærøyfjord area. Together they make up an area of 1,227 square kilometres, of which 107 square kilometres is covered by sea.
