Oslo Håndverksdestilleri is distillery dedicated to traditional Nordic distilling methods. Norway had to give up its last operational distillery in 1927, when the State Wine Monopoly decided to set restrictions on alcohol production. Oslo Håndverksdestilleri produces high-quality artisanal spirits with old local distilling traditions. The refreshments are made with local products such as Norwegian botanicals. The traditions of brewing and distilling stretch a long way in the Nordics' history and therefore are important parts of the culinary history.
Oslo Håndverksdestilleri is located in the Bryn neighbourhood in Oslo and is only a short way away from the city centre. The distillery offers locally produced products and lessons! Visitors can learn blending and mixing methods that are used by the bartenders. The distillery also offers tasting tours.
